More than 3,500 Bitcoin Distributors Installed Worldwide

There are now 3502 Bitcoin ATMs around the world, and that number is growing. According to experts in this field, there will be more than 5,000 in 2018.

While the cryptocurrency market has a sustained bearish trajectory, the number of ATMs dedicated to cryptocurrency and in particular the currency number 1 of the ranking continues to increase:

According to figures from specialist CoinATMRadar, the number of distributors has increased from 2090 to 3502 since the beginning of 2018.

We learn that all ATMs offer Bitcoin, half of them offer the opportunity to buy Litecoin, 32% of Ethereum, 23% of Bitcoin Cash, 12% of Dash and finally only 1% of distributors Monero, Zcash and Dogecoin.

North America has the largest number of Bitcoin ATMs (74% of the world total) followed by Europe (21%). In fact, Canada and the US alone have more than 2,500 distributors. In Europe, the United Kingdom has 168 machines, Austria 154, Spain 52 and Italy 25.

Bitcoin One Way and Two Way Distributors
There are two types of ATM Bitcoin, depending on the operations they offer: one-way or two-way operations. The first category (One-Way) only supports cash deposits for the purchase of bitcoins. Two-Way ATMs are ATMs to buy but also sell Bitcoin. 

Last May, 10 new Bitcoin ATMs were installed in the Prague Metro in the Czech Republic. In June, Amsterdam-Schiphol airport welcomed its first ticket office.
